With America a ruin it's time to attack Europe
Sharknado's have ruined America but now they are threatening to take out Europe, starting in London where coincidentally Fin and April are currently visiting.

More of the same at the last film(s) but a lot more silly, more bad acting, more bad dialogue, more of a stupid story, more tongue in cheek humour, more ridiculous cameo appearances, more more more of exactly the same to the point that it's getting a bit dull for me. The scariest thing about this film was the plastic surgery on show, it was like a Freak show of warnings about what plastic surgery can do to a person - some of the crap CGI sharks looked more attractive than the cast. The best in this series was the first film, since then it's gone downhill to the point that I'd suggest this is the weakest in the series - despite being the most up to date and sparkly. I can only give this film a 5 out of 10 because it's all been done before and brings nothing new to the table.

None offensive, borderline entertainment, requires no brain, pretty pictures.

Bigger, stronger and stranger.
The silliness of the SyFy/Asylum iconic series of films continue with the sharknados going global. If you have seen one in the series, you will have a pretty good idea what is going on. Tara Reid is bionic. The film spoofs and homages were numerous such as James Bond, Indian Jones, Back to the Future, The Road, and a bunch that I missed. Don't worry if you missed one, another is on the way. Note the "Monty Python" foot during the end of the opening credits.

Highlights include: Nichelle Nichols doing lines from Star Trek. Olivia Newton John telling Tara Reid not to get too physical. Bret Michaels providing double decker bus swagger music. Sasha Cohen from 'Blades of Glory" plays a skater. Fabio as Pope, and Charo as the Queen of England. Singer/page 3 model Samatha Fox plays Ms. Moore of the MI6. Geraldo Rivera opens a small safe and nothing is there.

Benjy Bronk plays in his fourth Sharknado film as a different person each time. This time he is a reporter named "Howard Beale" from the classic film "Network." Yes the names are all genius too, and I admit I missed a few references and movie lines. I didn't even come close to getting them all. What is unfortunate is that unless someone wakes up from a dream, this appears to be the final film.

Better than most of the garbage of 2017
If you have nothing else to watch, and need to watch something, Sharknado 5 should entertain you (if you watched the previous Sharknados).

Unlike the Non Factual, not Historical accurate "Touchy Feely""Feelings and Emotions" Remake Dunkirk 2017 as diametrically opposed to the Very Factual Dunkirk 1958.

Or the War for the Planet of the Apes 2017 that really did not have a "War" just a couple of small battles.

As soon as you start watching Sharknado 5 you have to know that this franchise is all about something that will be really ridiculous.....and will insert some Adult level jokes or parodies.

Some of the jokes or parodies would mean that you spent most of your life watching quite a lot of movies, TV Series, U.S. and International, News Stations, even TV Commercials.

LOVED Sharknado 5
****Might be spoilers. I don't know what I'm going to write.****

As usual, Sharknado delivered. The homages to movies of the past, the sly references and the celebrity cameos are what keeps me coming back. Yes, the acting is over the top and, yes, the scripts are, at times, cringe-inducing. But it's funny and entertaining. Of course, the "film snobs" won't think so, but screw them!

Now, that said, this Sharknado disappointed me in spots. First off, when Chris Kattan has his leg bitten off by a shark at Parliament, why oh why did he not say "It's only a flesh wound."? Would have been the perfect homage to Monty Python. Missed opportunity there. Second, why was Tiffany Pollard (aka New York from Flavor of Love) in this movie? She's no longer relevant. She had no business being in the cast. Get that gold-digging nasty whore out of my movie! Third, the ending of the movie was not good. Without getting into any specifics, Dolph Lundgren??? SMH. Just no. Loved the first 1:50 of the film. The last 10 minutes needed to be better. And why have time travel as part of the film if you're not going to have Christopher Lloyd come in to help save the day?

Despite all of that, I'm eagerly anticipating Sharknado 6. When will Ian Ziering get his much-deserved Emmy Award?

Ridiculous, but fun
When going into a Sharknado movie, I think the first thing you have to remind yourself is that, it's going to be pretty rubbish. The whole series is just absolutely ridiculous, but that's what makes Sharknado, Sharknado. It's just a bit of out of this world fun, with terrible puns (seriously, Fin and Gil?) and just some really bad acting. And bad acting, especially is something you have to remember that is going to be going on throughout any Sharknado movie.

But the actors do really well, I wouldn't be surprised if they were told to act badly instead of taking the job seriously.

Sharknado 5 is, in my opinion, the best Sharknado of the series. We actually get to learn more of the science in the series. It was quite a leap from the last one, and it was pretty good. This one did a good job and I think it might have done the series some good.

whats not to like
As these films go i am more than happy to give it a 10.it did everything i like in these kind of movies. It is fun, it has bad CG and the acting is garbage but its what us Asylum/sharknado fans look for. I would suggest watching the rest because believe it or not they do have a following story. No sharks were harmed in the making of this film.Watch it!!!!

Sharknado 5: It just doesn't get any better does it!?
Sharknado 5 is by far the wackiest, craziest and most over the top movie in the franchise. But here is the problem, that isn't a good thing.

The action sequences are still dumb and look awful, the wall to wall "Jokes" simply aren't funny and the movie has absolutely no redeeming features.

Movie references, various celebrity cameos and Tara Reid grunting like a pig in heat in every other scene.

I do hope, I do pray (And I don't even believe in that nonsense) that this is the end but considering the cliffhanger ending I fear we'll see more shortly.

The Good:

Chris Kattan as the British Primeminister is still better than Theresa May

The Bad:

Sam Fox, really!?

Tara Reid

Still a Sharknado film!

Things I learnt from this movie:

The Offspring don't care what films use their music as long as they get paid

If you're a cyborg with rocket boots and can therefore fly it makes more sense to ski down a mountain

Monster energy drink is sponsored by absolutely everything and everyone

It's sharkzilla!

Another solid and enjoyable addition to the franchise
Following the appearance of another sharknado, the family bands together to stop it only to find their son sucked into the retreating storm and are forced to go on a globe-trotting spree slaying sharks with a secret organization to track him down and stop the sharks.

Once again this one offers a lot to really like about it. Taking on a usual approach of building off the past, this one provides plenty of incredibly fun action-packed moments due to the constant and never-ending series of action within here. Triggering the event at the very beginning in the cave which quickly gets flooded and filled with sharks, the resulting payoff of the devastation in London has so much to like with the massive destruction offered of the sharks falling and taking out the citizens in really cool ways as well as the innovative defense techniques to stop them as the sharks flood the streets. As well, the later scenes of the blimp being brought down by the tornado and getting into the big skiing sequence down the mountain which offers up plenty of fun here by setting up the enjoyable series of scenes within the global community. Offering forth the idea of the international order and the different portals featured throughout here where this one manages to bring big scenes in all the different cities. The attack on the opera house, the chase through the mountains with the giant statues floating around them and the big battle in the coliseum make for a great series of action-packed encounters battling the creatures around them, yet the high-energy destruction caused in Tokyo where the blob of sharks ambling around like a giant monster powered by the radioactive material is where the cheesy action really scores well. This one even manages to feature the fun moments inside the Egyptian sequences where their supernatural prophecies come to pass and this one really plays nicely with the grandiose supernatural action present here which finally ends matters with all the fine destruction featured throughout the world. Along with the great kills and a rather glorious ending twist, these give this one so much to like to hold it out over the minor flaw here. As per usual, there's just no getting around the lame CGI present which really doesn't look good and holds this back considerably with the goofy look of the sharks in their environment which happens constantly due to the big action throughout here. Otherwise, this one was highly enjoyable.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Language and children-in- jeopardy.

Very few movies are bad enough to make me angry
This one managed. I would have just turned it off, but I was visiting friends and they wanted to watch it (apparently this was at least their second time through) and obviously I was trying to be a good guest so I just sat there quietly seething at what was happening on the screen, turning my thoughts towards analyzing exactly what about this stupid movie was making me so mad.

It's entirely possible, since I never saw the first four and maybe it would either make more sense or be less annoying if I understood the backstory, that I'm missing a critical key to understanding why this movie was made in the first place, who thought it up, why tornados that fling sharks all over the place should even be permitted to exist, etc. The cutesy names "Fin" and "Gil" did nothing to improve my mood. The various cameo appearances didn't help. The unrelenting, constant barrage of multiple "sharknados" every time there was the slightest lull in the dialogue didn't help. The effects were garbage, the acting was worse, the plot was flimsy and mostly incomprehensible (again, I didn't see the earlier installments, so this might be explainable with more prior knowledge).

The thing that just about sent me over the edge was Olivia Newton-John, who was unrecognizable from my long-ago memories of her early album covers. My friends told me it was her, but it was several minutes before I was ready to believe them. I've changed in the past 35 years too, but that was still quite a shock.

In short, lots of yelling, lots of lousy effects, very little plot, and every time things slow down a bit it's "whoa, better have another sharknado, our last one was four whole minutes ago". This movie makes Edward D. Wood Jr. look like Orson Welles.
